In the UK, there are roughly 850,000 people with dementia, and we want to make sure that those with dementia in the Rotherham area do not feel alone. We recognise that coping with dementia can be incredibly difficult. While a lot of people have a tendency to assume that it is only about memory loss, this is not the case. It impacts the way a person feels, thinks, speaks, and behaves.
Here at Happy Days, we recognise that dementia is not a natural part of the ageing process. We recognise that it is anything but natural. We also know that it can happen to people at any age, not just over the age of 65-years-old. In fact, our staff members have received full specialist training, so we can cater to all of your needs and provide the support you require.
We also know that it is important to keep your mind and body stimulated. That’s what we aim to do here at Happy Days. We provide a range of different programmes so that your mental and physical wellbeing are taken care of. This includes everything from armchair exercise classes to reminiscence sessions, which take place at our resource unit, as well as a wide range of activities that allow us to get out and about in the community.
